His story
The history of Cantabria Labs is one of entrepreneurship, science, and, above all, people. Since its inception, it has been a laboratory driven by innovation and research, guided by the desire to improve people's quality of life.
In the 1990s, he revolutionized the world of photoprotection by patenting Fernblock® together with Harvard Medical School and Dr. Fitzpatrick , the father of modern dermatology and creator of the phototype scale that still bears his name.
The Fernblock® ingredient, included in our SPF 50 products, and oral photoprotection —a disruptive innovation in dermatology invented by the company itself—were discoveries that marked a before and after in the way we protect skin from the sun.
These two milestones were the beginning of a history full of scientific advances, even though at the time Cantabria Labs was "just" a small family laboratory based in Cantabria.
